Bressers Metaal B.V. was founded in 1893 and has always been a family business. It is one of the largest independent steel distribution and steel service centres in the Benelux. That’s what has allowed Bressers to set its own purchasing and sales policy for much of its history. For customers, this means we can always set out to secure the best possible materials at the fairest prices.  Because we don’t have to rely on a distant parent company, we’re fast, flexible and agile, getting you the products you want just in time.

  1. Continuity

Performance, reliability and social responsibility have always been of paramount importance to Bressers. We always tailor our policy to secure continuity. Bressers was and still is a member of many organisations, whether industry-related or not, and fosters good relations with local and regional authorities, trade unions, environmental services and social organisations, among others.

  2. Modern & environmentally conscious

Modernisation has always played an important role within our company. In 1966, Bressers was the first steel shop in the Netherlands to have its own fully automatic preservation line for rolling mill products. Since 1995, we have been operating from a steel distribution and service centre in Tilburg, where we use modern machinery.

We have a total site area of more than 70,000 m2 as well as a private dock and good access all around for the loading and unloading of materials by ship or truck. In 2018, our covered storage capacity, dock and machinery were further extended.

For the better part of the year, our machines run almost entirely on sustainably generated solar energy. We also use eco-friendly water-based paint, energy-efficient installations and lighting. Our steel products are fully recyclable and largely produced with recycled materials.

    Quality

Product quality is our top priority. That’s why we have a Royal Warrant, for which our business processes are subjected to constant checks. We can provide reinforcing steel products with a KOMO or Benor product certificate, as well as quality certificates for any other product.
